My name is Simon Zryd. I do digital marketing professionally, podcasting, photography and lately vibe coding as a hobby. I am not a developer. Just a passionate podcast listener who wanted an app based on the way I listen. I explain a bit more here: I vibecoded a podcast app with zero coding experience.

I am sure there are many ways. The way I use it, I make bulk edits to podcasts in the library:

1. Shows I want to hear immediately, I queue automatically next.
2. Shows I listen to when I find the time, I queue automatically last.
3. Shows I like but do not need to always listen to, I pin to Inbox.
4. Shows I browse and occasionally dip into, I leave in Inbox.
5. Episodes someone recommends or I stumble across and just want to save for later, I queue next or last.

I listen to my queue, so I hear:

1. Shows I always want to hear first.
2. Shows I like a lot, if there is no first-priority show.
3. If the queue is empty, I browse Inbox and find my favourites on top and others lower down.

I first wanted to launch JollyPod for free, but I pay for the Apple Developer Account and for Codex. My goal is not to make money, just to recover some of what I spend. I appreciate every contribution, and I think it is worth the money if you enjoy the app.

If you cannot afford it, write to me and I will send you a gift code. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under its store rules.

Open Settings on your Apple device, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Choose JollyPod to view or change the subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

My main focus is reliability and speed, not adding every feature immediately. I know there are still issues, so I try to fix as much as possible before adding new features. Still, if you miss anything, send me your idea at hello@jollypod.app.

I can only make CarPlay available once the app is launched due to Apple regulations. It will come once iOS is in good shape.

JollyPod does not send user-facing push notifications for new episodes or marketing. At the moment it is not planned.

Yes. Download episodes before leaving your connection. Availability of individual episodes still depends on the podcast publisher. In settings you can decide what and how much you want to download.

Yes. Export an OPML file from your existing podcast app and import it into JollyPod. You can also export your JollyPod subscriptions again later to move to another app.

Podcast listings and media come from their publishers. First check whether the show’s feed still works elsewhere. If it does, email the feed or episode link to support and I will investigate.

Please include your device model, operating system version, JollyPod version, steps that reproduce the problem, and a screenshot if it helps. Do not send passwords or sensitive personal information.
